Nick Ribaudo

Nick is a seasoned attorney with extensive experience advising technology companies, entrepreneurs, and executives on complex legal and business matters. His practice focuses on corporate law, intellectual property, contracts, and strategic advisory work for growing and evolving organizations.

Before founding Sound Counsel Group, Nick served as senior in-house counsel at venture-backed and private equity–owned technology companies, where he advised executive leadership and boards of directors on transactions, risk management, and long-term strategy. He has supported high-value SaaS transactions, private equity acquisitions, and multiple corporate mergers, and has played a central role in building and scaling legal operations within fast-growing businesses.

Nick has also led global intellectual property programs, overseeing trademark and patent strategy, portfolio management, and enforcement. His work frequently sits at the intersection of law, technology, and business judgment, requiring a practical and forward-looking approach.

He brings this experience to Sound Counsel Group with a focus on providing clear advice, careful analysis, and solutions designed to endure. Clients value his ability to distill complex issues into actionable guidance and to serve as a steady advisor on matters that are both strategic and personal.

Nick earned his J.D. from Brooklyn Law School, where he received a Certificate in Intellectual Property, Media, and Information Law and served as Associate Managing Editor of the Journal of Law and Policy. He is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey.
